OR Travel Nurse OpportunityPay rate: $2,200.00 - $2,400.00 gross per weekNumber of positions: 1Specialty: ORTravel: Shared housing availableStart date: ASAPAssignment length: 13 weeks with option to extendEMR: EPICSchedule: 5x8's Monday - FridayNo on callAdditional details about the position:Will see more than just ortho casesOR setup: Review surgeon preference cards, check case carts, and gather necessary equipment and supplies.Sterilization: Ensure all instruments are sterile and functional.Sterile field: Perform the surgical scrub, don gown and gloves, and arrange instruments on the Mayo stand and back table.Counts: Perform initial counts of sponges, sharps, and instruments with the circulator.Patient prep: Assist in transferring, positioning, and prepping (cleaning/disinfecting) the patient.Draping: Assist the team in draping the patient to establish a sterile field.Intraoperative proceduresAnticipation: Anticipate the surgeon's needs, passing instruments quickly and efficiently.Maintaining sterility: Monitor the sterile field constantly to prevent contamination.Specimens: Receive, handle, and label surgical specimens.Medications: Prepare and pass medications, hemostatic agents, and irrigation solutions.Experience requirements:Need ortho experienceExperience working knees & shoulders cases2 years relevant experienceCertification requirements:CSTLicensure requirement:CSTAbout the facility:The mission of this facility is to provide, coordinate, and support access to high quality, affordable health care and to positively impact our communities' quality of life by improving health status.As a charitable organization, NMMC provides general and acute health services to individuals and families in and around the St. John Valley.
