Form Concrete Carpenter – Civil & Heavy Industrial Infrastructure for Moltz Constructors

Job Overview:

The Opportunity

You will build heavy concrete formwork for critical civil infrastructure projects throughout Colorado, including remote dam and reservoir sites in the Rocky Mountains. This is not residential framing work. The position is designed for concrete/form carpenters comfortable with structural concrete, heavy civil environments and traveling project work.

Moltz supports traveling crews through per diem/subsistence and project-based lodging arrangements that may include campers, shared housing or hotels depending on the assignment.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Erect, construct, brace and dismantle heavy industrial concrete formwork according to project specifications.
• Work with gang forms and other heavy forming systems used for structural civil construction.
• Read construction plans and engineering drawings to lay out work accurately.
• Use auto levels and optical equipment to establish and verify field elevations.
• Support concrete placement, vibration, consolidation and finishing operations.
• Safely work around and climb rebar cages, wall forms and complex structural assemblies.
• Operate construction power tools and work efficiently in rugged outdoor environments.
• Perform physically demanding work, including handling heavy formwork materials.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Proven concrete/form carpentry experience in heavy commercial, industrial or civil construction.
• Ability to read construction drawings.
• Ability to establish elevations using an auto level or comparable field equipment.
• Safe proficiency with construction power tools.
• Ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Willingness to travel and work at remote mountain project sites throughout Colorado.
• Personal basic carpenter hand tools/tool belt, including items such as hammer, tape measure and nail puller.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• 4+ years of form/concrete carpentry experience.
• Heavy civil, bridge, water/wastewater, dam, reservoir or underground infrastructure background.
• Experience with gang forms.
• Concrete placement, vibration and finishing skills.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Candidates who can perform multiple phases — formwork, layout, concrete placement and finishing — may qualify for compensation above the standard range.

• 28.00–32.00+ per hour based on experience and capability.
